How Your Information Is Stored

1. Saved on this device

Devotional progress, journal reflections, Heart Space check-ins, saved prayers and affirmations, bookmarked days, and app preferences are stored on your device or in your browser. This information stays with the device unless you export it.

2. Optional cloud sync

Optional cloud syncing is not currently available. Nothing you write is uploaded to a server today.

3. Shared with AI

Only text you intentionally approve for the Gentle Companion is sent to Lovable AI Gateway (Google Gemini) to generate a response. No other journal content is shared with the AI provider.

4. Dictation (speaking instead of typing)

Reflection boxes and the Gentle Companion reply box include a microphone button so you can speak instead of type. When you use it, the voice recording is sent to our transcription service only while it is being turned into text. The app does not keep the recording, and the text it produces is saved the same way typed reflections are — in this browser, on this device. Typing is always available instead; nothing is recorded unless you tap the microphone.

5. Read aloud (listening instead of reading)

Scripture, reflections, prayers, and affirmations include a “Listen” button so the words can be read to you in a soft, calm voice. When you tap it, only that devotional text — written by Tamika, never your own journal writing — is sent to our voice service to be turned into audio. The audio plays and is not stored, and nothing is sent unless you tap Listen.

6. Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics. Journal text, prayers, Heart Space notes, and Gentle Companion conversations are never sent to analytics platforms.
